ABOUT OUR MOTTO:
The Motto of NAMASTEसंस्कृत Institute is “पाठनीयाऽधीतविद्या” The word अधीतविद्या means ‘Attained knowledge’, and the verb पाठनीया means ‘Should be imparted’ to others. This further means first we should attain knowledge, then impart it. Without attaining & without proper understanding, nothing should be passed on. Teaching is a Passion @ Namasteसंस्कृत
Source: This is captured from a part of a shloka of Shreemad Satsangi Jeevanam, which consists of 17,627 verses written by Shatanand Muni. Shlok 36, of Adhyaya 44 of the 4th Prakaran highlights one of the commands of Shri Swaminarayan – पाठनीयाऽधीतविद्या which is dear to our hearts & motivates us to thrive for it. This chapter is popularly called Shri Shikshapatri.
Intent: A learned person (Guru) should pass on his wealth of knowledge & education to a promising and virtuous student (Shishya). We consider this as a Gyan Yagna. And those learners who have learned should continue to pass on the knowledge to others, thus making it a continuous flow of पाठनीयाऽधीतविद्या
