Description

शास्त्रप्रवेशः is the 3rd step of this three-year course. It means Entry Gateway to the Sanskrit Scriptures. This is an effecient 1 year course, covering Ancient Sanskrit Literature, Vedas, Puranas etc. Six philosophical scriptures. And Pravesh to Shree Swaminarayan Mool Sampradaya’s spiritual Sanskrit texts, namely Shree Shikshapatri & Shree Satsangi Jeevanam.

साध्वी-संस्कृतम् course is a well-planned and well-designed course by NAMASTEसंस्कृतम् for Sankhyayogi Baheno, Parshado, Sadhvis and Tyagis of Shree Swaminarayan Mool Sampradaya. The 3-Year Course duration covers 4 courses, step-by-step, such as:

Level-1 of Sadhvi-Sanskrit Course – BHASHA PRAVESH
Level-2 of Sadhvi-Sanskrit Course – VYAKARAN PRAVESH
Level-3 of Sadhvi-Sanskrit Course – SHASTRA PRAVESH
Level-4 of Sadhvi-Sanskrit Course – SHASTRA RASASWAD

It covers most of the main texts from Sanskrit Basics Bhasha-Pravesh to religious texts Shastra-Rasawad in 4 levels. No prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required to start this 3-year course.

This is one of the courses, that all Sadhvis should take up to learn Sanskrit from Basics, learning to read, speak, understand & taste the nectar of Scriptures. This course also covers an introduction to various parts of Sanskrit Grammar, Vaidik literature & Darshana texts.

It is noteworthy that, the entire life of sadhu-saints and Sankhyayogi sisters & mothers is dedicated to the feet of Shreeji Maharaj. Their self-sacrificing life is spent in the public interest, for the welfare of others, in social service, bhajan-bhakti, Katha-pravachan, kirtan-utsava-samaiya etc. in many satsang activities. In Sanskrit it is said that –

अनेकशास्त्रं तु बहुवेदितव्यम्, अल्पश्च कालो बहवश्च विघ्ना:।
यत् सारभूतं तदुपासितव्यं, हंसो यथा क्षीरमिवाम्भुमध्यात् ॥

Means, there are many scriptures to read, and knowledge is endless. But we have less time with us. Above that, there are many obstacles. But, just like a swan takes milk from water, we should also understand the essence of these scriptures.

Keeping this experience and pursuit in mind, a unique effort has been made to learn the Sanskrit language from Basics to tasting the essence of the scriptures. All this in a minimum period of time ever possible. These Sanskrit classes are held online, generally between 3-4:30 pm or 8:30-10:00 pm keeping in mind the Tyagi baheno, who are occupied with spiritual activities throughout the day.

In order to please Shreeji Maharaj and follow the Niyama of Sadhvi Varga, all the classes will be taught and conducted by female teachers during the entire course, so that they can interact & learn without hesitation.

To enable more and more, Sadhvis to learn Sanskrit (from Basics to Shastra), the course fee has been reduced to ₹151 per class. Our aim is to spread fearlessness, create interest, and spread literacy of Sanskrit among women. As a part of Sanskrit-Seva from us.

Thus, the 3-year ‘Kool Gurudakshina’ has been reduced from ₹ 2.33 lacs to ₹ 1 lac. This is part of our Sanskrit-Seva at the lotus feet of Shreeji Maharaj.

FAQ’s

Can I join the 3rd level directly without studying the 1st two levels?

Completing Level 1 will make you ready for Level 2. So, it is recommended to go step-by-step. However, in some cases, an assessment will be taken to decide whether or not, you can apply for Level 3 directly

What will be the class timings?

Classes are taken in the afternoon between 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm and/or 8:30 pm – 10:00 pm, keeping in mind the busy schedules of Sadhvis in bhajan-bhakti & Satsang-Sewa of Shree Hari.

Why is the fee only ₹151 per class?

Sadhvi-Sanskritam is a campaign that attempts to engage the Sankhyayogi baheno and Parshads of the Shree Swaminarayan Sampradaya in Sanskrit Gyan-Yajna. So, following the ancient tradition, an effort to spread Sanskrit literacy has been made by keeping a nominal Guru Dakshina of 151per class. (to be exact ₹ 46, for Level 3) Thus, the 3-year ‘Total Gurudakshina’ of a learner has been reduced from ₹ 2.33 lacs to ₹ 1 lac only, so that more and more Sadhvi can join and get benefit from this Gyan-Yajna.

Why is this course not FREE of cost?

We want you to proceed with your Sanskrit study with full faith & responsibility. But, because of human nature, things received freely, lose their glory. Therefore, a nominal fee is charged, so that there is no laziness or disinterest anywhere during the course.

Can you ensure that there's a female teacher throughout? We do not prefer to study from a male teacher, because of Niyam & Maryada..

Yes, no worries about this. Throughout the entire course, all the classes will be taught and conducted by female teachers only.
