Skill development

At the age of 15, Namrata learned to speak Sanskrit during her Class 10th Vacation period. She took Special Training Camps at Goa & Badlapur, teaching Sanskrit in Sanskrit medium. She has been serving Sanskrit since then. A non-profit organization, called Samskrit-Bharati, Konkan & Karnavati Prant provided a direction to her learning.

Junior College

After facing criticism for not opting for ‘Science’ or ‘Commerce’ Stream after getting good grades in Class 10, She completed 2 years of Junior College (Class 11 & 12) from an English Medium & ‘Arts’ stream – Ramnivas Ruia College, Matunga, Mumbai. Skills in writing essays in Sanskrit helped her score the maximum marks in Class 12 Sanskrit.

Shastri

A journey from English Medium to Sanskrit Medium: Namrata transferred herself to a fully Sanskrit medium Deemed-University ‘Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthanam’ (RSKS), New Delhi, having one of the campuses in Vidyavihar, Mumbai, called K.J.Somaiya Campus. She completed Shastri (Bachelors degree) from RSKS, with specialization in Sanskrit Sahityam. Now it’s a Central University, with name CSU – Central Sanskrit University.

Acharya

After marriage, she settled in Ahmedabad (India’s first World Heritage City) & continued higher education in Sanskrit. She holds an ‘Acharya’ (Masters’s degree) from Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (DSM), with a specialization in Sanskrit Sahityam. University been Shree Somanath Sanskrit University (SSSU), Veraval.

NET & SET

She qualified for both National Level & State Level Eligibility Tests for University level Teaching. These Competitive Exams are called NTA-NET (National Eligibility Test) & GSET (Gujarat State Eligibility Test)

PET

Qualifying PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test) of the most well-known Sanskrit University in India, Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi,  she enrolled herself in the Mumbai campus, & attended a 6-month Pre-Ph.D. Coursework, held in Prayagraj (U.P.) & came out with flying colors as Rank-02 in the All-India Pre-Ph.D. Coursework Examinations.

Ph.d (VidyaVaridhi)

Namrata completed her VidyaVaridhi (Ph.D.)  Doctoral of Philosophy, in Sanskrit Sahityam, under the able guidance of Dr. V.S.V. Bhaskar Reddy sir, H.O.D., Dept. of Education, CSU, Mumbai. The Research topic was  श्रीजीवनजीमहाराजप्रणीत-नृसिंहविजयमहानाटकस्य नाट्यतत्त्वदृष्ट्या समीक्षात्मकमध्ययनम् (A Critical Study of the  Nrsimhavijaya Mahanataka of Sri Jivanji Maharaj on the Dramaturgical principles.) The thesis, of 540+ pages, was completely researched, written & typed by her in Devabhasha ‘Sanskrit’. It was successfully submitted when her baby boy was as young as 1.5 years old.

Research Papers

She has presented numerous Sanskrit Research Articles at National & International Seminars/Conferences, New Delhi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Mumbai, Patan, Ahmedabad, Kathlal, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Ujjain & Kolkata. Many research articles are published in Research journals & books, and a lot of Faculty Development Programmes & Workshops have been participated to stay updated.

Early Teaching-Experience

Namrata has been teaching Sanskrit from a very young age, in Bharati Sanskrit Vidya Kendra – Mumbai; & 5+ centers of Nayak’s Tutorials, across Mumbai, to school students of Class 5 to 8 & Class 9-12, both C.B.S.E & Maharashtra Board.

Eklavya School

She has dedicated her Sanskrit services to Eklavya International School, Sanathal, Ahmedabad. It is an English medium, ICSE-ISC School, having a 35-acre beautiful campus. Namrata taught students of Class 5-8, Middle School, designed Sanskrit Curriculum, and was in charge of the Event Committee, Teacher’s Fun HRD, Hindi-Sanskrit Week, & a member of the School Assembly Committee

Ved Garbh Sanskar

She conducts Sanskrit classes at Ved Garbh Sanskar, a Garbhasanskar Clinic – in Ahmedabad, to teach Sanskrit to Pregnant ladies. This is the first unique Garbh Sanskar center in Ahmedabad, Gujarat providing authentic ayurvedic Antenatal care and also Activities in one place with the humble guidance & observation of Ayurvedic doctors. 

Agastya Gurukulam

Dr. Namrata is a Sanskrit Acharya in Agastya Gurukulam, teaching kids, ages 6-11 years, living in the USA/Canada, online.  Agastya Gurukulam (AG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the cause of education rooted in traditional Indian knowledge systems. The team comprises successful professionals located around the world. 

Sanskrit Textbooks

Dr. Namrata is involved in the Sanskrit work of the Gujarat State Board of School Textbooks, Gandhinagar. She is a Subject-specialist Reviewer and has worked in the committee of Class 12 Sahityam Textbook &  Class 12 Anivarya-Sanskritam (Kavyam) Textbook. 

Samskrit Bharati

• Dr. Namrata Patel has dedicated many years of her life to giving free-of-cost services to many non-profit organizations, including Samskrit-Bharati.
• Since 2009, Namrata has been involved in conducting Sanskrit Shibirs, Balkendra, Sanskrit Rallies, Competitions, Exhibitions & Summer Camps at Konkan Prant & Karnavati Prant.
• She has taken 40+ camps of ‘10 days free Sambhashan Shibir’ in the region, and was a Sanchalaka for ‘Bal Kendra center’ in Mulund, Mumbai.
• Organized ‘Sanskrit Summer Camps’ for children of age group 8 – 15yrs.  Attended ‘Bhasha Bodhan Varg’ in Goa and ‘Shikshak Prashikshan Varg’ in Badlapur, Mumbai.

SGVP, Memnagar

• By the Aagnya of  H.H. Guruvarya Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, she is involved in the coordination & Overall-development of the Women’s Wing.
• Namrata has been actively dedicating her Sanskrit Sewa, in the Sanskrit Education of Sankhyayogi Baheno / Sadhvis. Women’s Wing at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratisthanam SGVP Gurukul, Memnagar.
• By conducting classes including Sanskrit, English & Computer, coordinating the subjects, designing curriculum, conducting semester examinations, evaluating answer sheets, preparing results & conducting feedback sessions.

Darshanam Sanskrit Sansthanam, SGVP

• Every year there are new admissions of Rishikumars at Darshanam Sanskrit Sansthanam at SGVP Gurukul, Charrodi. It is necessary for them to get acquainted with communicating in Sanskrit, as DSS is a Sanskrit-medium Santhanam. Namrata conducts Sanskrit Sambhashan Camps, organized by DSS from time to time.
• She also conducts guidance classes for those Rishikumars, who are preparing for Competitive exams like NET & SET.
• She is also the Main Coordinator, for Online ‘Shikshapatri Chanting Classes’, where 280+ learners are registered from all around the world.

SGVP Gurukul, Canada

SGVP Gurukul, Canada conducts online Classes, for people who reside outside of India.

• Namrata took a 6-Month Spoken Sanskrit Classes, for those residing in the USA & Canada. This resulted in a very positive response.
• She also conducted Children’s Spring camps, for children in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta & British Columbia. Received a huge response from about 95 children.
• These included teaching, assigning & evaluating weekly assignments, conducting 1:1 sessions & course-end examinations.
• She was also the Coordinator, of the ‘Stotra Chanting Classes’ of Vishnu Sahasra Namam Chanting, where residents of the USA & Canada actively participated.

• Sanskrit Topper with 99/100 marks & English Topper with 93/100 marks in Class 10, C.B.S.E Board
• Gold medal as a Sahitya Subject-Topper & Silver medal for University Overall 2nd Rank Topper, in Acharya (Master’s degree) in Shree Somnath Sanskrit University
• ‘A’ Grade in 3-Month ‘Bhartiya Jyotish Phalit Parichay Pathyakram’ Course
• Qualified Competitive Exam of National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor, with 70.67%

• Intercollege Competitions: 1st  in English Speech, Consolation in Sanskrit Sahitya Bhashanam, 1^st in Sanskrit Nibandh Lekhan Pratiyogita, 1^st in Sahitya Rachana, Gold medal for Excellence.
• Extra-curriculum Activities: 2nd  in badminton doubles, 3^rd in Running, 3^rd in Shot put & Vishist Puraskar for Sanga Nrityam.

Title:

• “विशिष्ट-विजयित्री-पुरस्कारः” for bringing the highest number of National & State level medals for college, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthanam, Mumbai campus.
• The title of “ऋषिप्रवरा”, meaning one who is a proficient Rishikaa. Awarded by Darshanam Sanskrit Sansthanam, SGVP, Charrodi 
• The title  “विद्यावारिधि”,  meaning one who is proficient in the ocean of knowledge, was awarded in 2022 by the Central Sanskrit University, for completing doctoral studies in Sanskrit in Sanskrit medium.
